Electric vs. Wood-Burning

• Electric heaters — Precise digital temperature control, faster heat-up times, and straightforward installation. Available in wall-mounted, freestanding, and ceiling configurations. Ideal for indoor rooms and consistent daily use.
• Wood-burning heaters — Authentic off-grid heat with the crackling ambiance of a traditional Finnish sauna. Ideal for outdoor cabins, rural properties, and purists who demand the real thing.

Sizing Your Heater

Heater output (kW) must be matched to your sauna room volume. As a general guide:

• 4–6 kW — Rooms up to 200 cubic feet (small 1–2 person rooms)
• 6–9 kW — Rooms up to 350 cubic feet (standard 2–4 person rooms)
• 9–16 kW — Rooms up to 600 cubic feet (large 4–6 person rooms)
• 16 kW+ — Commercial and oversized rooms
